doors in July 2000. We are a 28-bed facility for juveniles
10 – 18 yrs. old who have been sentenced here through
the Court system, as well as those awaiting placement
elsewhere. We are a maximumsecurity facility that operates a highly
structured and secure environment. We serve multiple jurisdictions in the State of Indiana.
Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Jackson County Juvenile Detention Center to provide –through our structured program – a safe, secure and healthy environment for those juveniles placed in our care. We work closely with our local probation department and out-of-county agencies to ensure that all juveniles appear at the court hearings and successfully integrate these juveniles back into their communities.
